Rumble On (Mr. Stacker’s version of ‘carry on’)

Well I woke up to the stars rising,

The rumblings of twilight falling,

And I see you drinking

Your mind in the gutter

And a dress ready for the night.

You swore and said

“We are in for it

We are in for a storm.”

I say,

“Fuck it all!

Summer is what storms are for.”

So why don’t we stay in

Close the windows and never look back.

We watch the skies go dark

watch the city lights make their mark.

This the way we are!

Let the storm rumble on.

As we sit holding each other

Close as can be to the other

Rumble on, rumble on.

The lightening claps.

The rain drums on the tar.

The thunder becomes a cymbal.

Now close the door

Lay your body down on the ground

Wrap your legs around

my head will show you how.

The storm will never stop now.

This is the way we are!

We are the shining stars

Of the stormy night

On a summer night.

And watch the skies go dark

watch the city lights make their mark.

Let the storm rumble on.

As we sit holding each other

Close as can be to the other

Rumble on, rumble on.

This is the way we are!

We are the shining stars

Of the stormy night

On a summer night.

Let the storm rumble on,

Rumble on, rumble on.

Let the storm rumble on for this is the way we are!
